That Island Across the Custom.

One of my most hilarious Physics lecturer once describe Singapore as the tiny island opposite (Johor). It’s true, for me to get to Singapore from the campus is so easy. One bus ride will take me to the custom, and another bus ride would officially land me on the island. Separated by Johor Straights, the two land have similarity in common but off different cultural. Once it was a land full of dreams for me, but after a while it become merely a story for me.

IMAG0895Today i went visit one of my best friends, YS, a.k.a. son!! I told them that I am planning for the visit since weeks ago but the final decision was still, only made last minute. One terrible joke was I realized my phone have no signal in Singapore, but I had not called and make appointment with him on where to meet with. He is studying at Nanyang Polytechnic, and he is having a lecture in the morning. So as I assume he was still in the campus, I took a photo of the local map at the MRT station and began my venture.

I walked crossed a tennis court, and a swimming pool, then finally i saw this!!!

The Nanyang Poly!!! (I still havent realized that this was the tip of the campus… I took a long route, and i bump myself into somewhere really funny.) I took a stairs and walked up, got lost. there are swimming pool, on my left and Staff Office on my right. Then i was like: Hey, where are the lecture theatres? I was left with no choice, but to look for a public phone to make a call. I walked my way until Block A, which is a open area and borrowed the phone from the information counter. Here is how the Block A look like--->

Had a lunch at the canteen after my son picked up my call and came look for me.  He told me that usually chances of meeting high school mateys at this big campus is very tiny. But I manage to head hunt almost all of my friends.
